The success of the follow up album resulted in The Cover Girls landing an advertising endorsement contract with the Coca Cola Company and Panasonic Electronics. They went on a national tour with the infamous lip synching duo "Milli Vanilli" and were chosen to perform as the opening act for the popular boy pop group "New Kids On The Block". They also performed along side Ricky Martin and 'Menudo', in which together they performed a cover of Madonna's "Spotlight" song. The Cover Girls also made appearances on The Nickelodeon Channel, The Disney Channel, Soul Train, Showtime at the Apollo and MTV as well as performing on the legendary Dick Clark show American Bandstand. The girls went on to record the track “Better Late Than Never” which appeared on the soundtrack of the Eddie Murphy film “Coming to America”. The Cover Girls were also given the honor of receiving the Best Vocal Group Award at the New York Music Awards. which also landed on the Top 40.

In 1990, following the Cover Girls "We Can't Go Wrong" Tour, Angel decided that it was time to move on and pursue a solo career. In 1998 and 1999 Angel released two singles on the Fever Records and H.O.L.A. Recordings labels. The singles were “Toro Mata”, which was a Latin flavored dance single and “One More Chance”. “Toro Mata” was much different than anything Angel had previously recorded and showcased Angel's amazing vocal range more than ever. “One More Chance” was pure dance music at it's best. Both songs appeared on her solo album “Angel” which was released by Jellybean Recordings in the year 2000.
